Everybody Get Ready to Get Bucked

You know, ever since The Code of Hammurabi was laid down, it seems like every day someone out there is trying to get all fun police and harsh our buzzes. Passing laws, issuing citations and being busy bodies. It’s basically 1984. Everyone knows getting drunk and shooting things is the framework for the funnest night ever. Everyone except the police, the government, sober people, our parents and people with what is referred to as "good judgment".

That’s why God invented video games, to provide an outlet for these itchy trigger fingers. The Almighty really broke the mold when Big Buck Hunter was brought down from on high, because it is quite possibly the best bar room game in the history of bar room games, and yes, I am factoring in Erotic Photo Hunt. What’s not to love about blasting wild turkeys out of the sky while your friends spill beer all over you and cheer you on? Or even better, getting a 10-pointer and shaming your enemies with your incredible prowess.

Well guess what fellow hunters, this week belongs to us. Tonight kicks off a series of three evenings of Big Buck Parties. Each one is a tournament wherein you compete for prizes including a $50 bar tab at the host bar. If that doesn’t pique your interest, there will also be themed drinks, including something called the Critter Killer, and appearances by the Big Buck Girls, whom I can only imagine to be an intoxicating combination of sexiness, camouflage and Big Buck gear. Tonight you can cruise to Ed's Kort Haus, tomorrow they will be at Lucky 7 in Kirkland and on Thursday at Redline in Seattle. Big winners from these showdowns qualify for the annual Big Buck Hunter World Championships held in October.

Okay so here’s a quick summary of some key themes in this article: fun, beer, prizes, girls, shooting stuff, talking smack to your friends and enemies, fame and glory. Essentially, the American Dream. Snag those quarters from your laundry cache and get shooting. Legends are born every day you know, tonight could be your night.
