Seattle Fashion Week and Seattle Pacific University's Student Fashion Show

sfwlogo.jpg Seattle Fashion Week kicks off its 2010 three-day event tonight at the Wamu Theater, featuring local and emerging designers. Friday's show will have more of a retailer emphasis, and will showcase local and national retailers such as United Colors of Benetton, Ducati, Strut Boutique, bebe and 7. The finale show on Saturday,"Established and International Designers", will include a major score in SFW history: Vera Wang, and a fun celebrity guest model, Apolo Ohno, in all his sole patch pride and glory. Another designer to watch in the finale show is Banchong Douangphrachanh, whose work was featured in Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" video. It's not too late to get your tickets.

Also on Saturday night will be the SPU Fashion Group’s 3rd Annual Student Fashion Show So Fresh, Sew Green fashion show, featuring sustainable fashion. SPU Fashion Design Students’ garments will be made out of repurposed fabric, recycled product, organic fabrics and natural materials, and will also showcase local green designers and retailers. Oh, P.S., this event is FREE!
