ALEXIE COMES TO TOWN: Sherman Alexie will be reading poetry from his book War Dances tonight at Elliott Bay Book Company with Arizona's emerging poet Sherwin Bitsui and the fabulous folks of Copper Canyon Press. National Poetry Month is almost over (!) and tonight also presents a great opportunity to give Alexie a high five for his recent, amazingly awesome and well-deserved PEN/Faulkner Award achievement.

7:00 p.m. // Elliott Bay Book Company, 1521 Tenth Ave. // FREE

LET'S PLAY BALL: If you've been itching to get out on the field and pick up a game of softball with some other locals, here's your chance (fingers crossed for no downpours!). All games are co-ed, the fields are open until 11:00 p.m. under lights, and it's round-robin style for two large fields. AND, there's extra gloves and bats. What are you waiting for?

7:00 p.m. // Magnolia Community Center field, 2550 34th Ave. W // FREE

EVERYONE LIKES IT HOT: Central Cinema will be showing the cult favorite Some Like it Hot tonight, featuring Ms. Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. If you're yet to have seen this well-known film, now's the time. And if that wasn't enough for a good Tuesday night, there will be a Rock Anthem Sing-a-long to follow; no joke.

7:00; 9:30 p.m. // Central Cinema // Tickets: $5-7
