Just Ten Days Left To Register Your Telekinesis

Spring brings out the sportsman in us here at Seattlest, and it's not just the sight of baseball returning to Safeco Field. Our competitive streak runs deep and wide, and we're always excited for a new opportunity to take on all challengers in all fields. That's why we're so excited for the 3rd Annual World Telekinesis Competition, coming to the campus of UW Bothell this June. Teams of three from across the world will be competing this year, both on site and remotely. The set up is simple - a candle is lit in the middle of a game board at a proscribed time, starting the match. The winning team is the one to move the most melting wax from the candle to their opponent's side of the board using nothing but the power of their minds.

If you and a couple of friends are eager to test your telekinetic prowess against the finest minds from around the planet, there's still time to prove you've got what it takes. You have until April 30 to register your team, a task taht's surprisingly simple - all you need are three team members, bios, pictures and a logo. And oh yeah, terrible psychic powers.

And mad props to UW Bothell's Center for Serious Play for finally coming up with a telekinesis competition that is effective, but also safe and fun for the whole family. Long have we waited for an alternative to the brutal Scanner Duels of yore, in which so many were needlessly melted, incinerated, or subjected to head-explosion.

Even if I don't win this "competition", I'm going to use my mind power to steal the trophy.
