Good News, Bad News
Let's start with the Good News, shall we?
- Quincy Pondexter scored a last second shot to lift the Huskies over Marquette and into the second round of the NCAA tournament.
- Sounds like a job for Night Boat - the crime solving boat... or the Department of Fish and Wildlife, who actually busted a group of shellfish poachers in Quilcene, catching them red-handed with 400 pounds of illegally obtained clams and oysters.
- Legislators in Washington's House and Senate may be close to ending the game of 'tax policy chicken' that's really just making them look a bit foolish. Not to mention unpopular. Also, it is forcing Christine Gregoire to break out the strong language, like 'dad gummit.' This is just not acceptable.
But we would be remiss if we neglected to mention the Bad News:
- What do you do with a drunken sailor? Whatever you do, don't try to arrest him - dude will bite you.
- Your tax dollars were hard at work when sherriffs from three counties, FBI agents and a air support courtesy of U.S. Customs failed to turn up any sign of Colton Harris Moore on Orcas Island yesterday.
- The body of 8-year-old Azriel Carver, who disappeared last week along with his mother, Shantina Smiley, was found washed up on the beach on Fox Island Thursday afternoon.
