Good News, Bad News
- Sound Transit is playing with the idea of raising fares in the coming months.
- Promising young defensive end Darryl Tapp leaves the Seahawks for Philadelphia, netting Seattle DE Chris Clemons and a fourth round pick. Why? Good damned question.
- What the city of Seattle pays for labor and insurance for city workers has risen 40 percent in just the last eight years.
- The guy who managed to protect his medical marijuana plants from would-be burglars earlier this week - by shooting them - has had most of his stash seized by King County sheriffs, instead. Bummer.
As for the Good News, there is some of that as well:
- Worried about inflation? Don't be - wholesale prices dropped more than a half a percent in February alone, meaning that while the economic situation still pretty much sucks, it could be a sight worse.
- A man in Wenatchee rushed into a burning building, helping a number of elderly residents out to safety before the fire department arrived on the scene.
