Good News, Bad News
This weekend's Good News:
- You haven't quite missed your chance to meet Spock... er, Leonard Nimoy at the Emerald City Comic Con which wraps up today. And even if you miss him, you can still see Wesley Crusher, so that's something, right?
- UW wins the Pac-10 Tournament, earning itself a spot in the Big Dance!
- A Seattle-area woman booked on fraud charges in Spokane was found to have $26,000 in cash stashed in her bra.
And The weekend's Bad News:
- Over 300 Boeing 737s need emergency airworthiness inspections after "severe vibration" was witnessed in some of the planes in the air over Europe.
- Not enough students are getting college degrees in Washington, which ranks 38th out of the 50 states in degrees awarded per capita. If nothing is done, the state will experience a shortage of qualified workers to replace retiring baby boomers in the coming years.
- Police have released photos of three missing women found in the Seattle storage unit of a convicted serial killer.
- A Tacoma nursing home is closing it's doors after the state pulls it's license, citing "immediate jeopardy" to the home's elderly residents.
