Weekend in Beer: Livergeddon, Charities, and Whole Foods Happy hour

We are another weekend closer to the "official" start of spring. This weekend is split on which season it is. With the prospect of sun on Saturday and rain on Sunday, thankfully you have options depending on your attraction or repulsion to sunlight.

Friday, Whole Foods is serving up 2 ouncers for $3. Today between the hours of 5 and 7, swing into Whole Foods near Roosevelt Way, for two ounce tastes of Alaskan Brewing's beers while eating some small food. While sipping on your sample, you might learn that pizza and nachos aren't the only things that go well with beer.

5PM - 7PM // 1026 Northeast 64th Street // (206) 985-1500

Saturday, we have a couple charity collab's with breweries. Two breweries are participating in fund raising for different organizations. Over in Lake City Beer Authority owner Barry Adams and Elysian Brewing are joining forces to support Team in Training. Benefiting Leukemia research, Team in Training will be accepting donations with each pint or growler fill of Elysian beer that's rung up. Additionally So'Do's Two Beers will be hosting a Haiti relief party in association with Tako Truk, at their tasting room.

12PM - 6PM // 12716 Lake City Way Northeast // Beer Authority // (206) 417-9629

And on both Friday and Saturday, Barleywine Bacchanal & Collins Pub still have beer left. In case you missed it, West Seattle's Beveridge Place last Friday kicked off their week long celebration of the strongest of beers, with Barleywine Bacchanal. And although some of the old stuff is gone there is still plenty left to choose from. Stop in tonight or in the afternoon this weekend for a snifter of sweet stuff. For more information on BPP's Bacchanal check this out
Meanwhile, over in Pioneer Square, Collins Pub still has quite a few kegs of strong beers left to try. If you are lucky you might still get to try vintage Fish Old Woody, Full Sail Boardhead, or Deschutes Abyss.

Be safe and eat plenty of food. And drink some water!

Cheers!
