Sound Off! An Underage Battle: SEACATS
Kelso based SEACATS keep it current. Back in our day, we called them dolphins. Featuring brothers Mike and Josh Davis, Matt Olason, Joey Britten, and Cody Graves, SEACATS jump around in basement moonbounces, occasionally puncturing the structure with hand claps and whoo-hoos. Their short, tight pop songs are guaranteed to get caught in your head for days. It’s right there on the label next to “SEACAT safe”.
Their debut self-titled EP (available for donation here) showcases their synth fuzz wit and easy way with hooks.
SEACATS take to EMP|SFM’s stage this Saturday in the final round of semi-finals for this year’s Sound! Off competition. They’ll compete against Subtle Like a T-Rex, Us On Roofs, and Great Waves, for a chance at the finals.
Should they win, they’ll face Candysound and Hooves and Beak, winners of semifinals 1 and 2 respectively, and a wildcard yet to be picked.
