Goodbye, Hummer!

GM is shutting down production on the Hummer after its bid to sell the brand to a Chinese heavy equipment maker collapsed. The good news is: No more gas-guzzling road-hogging symbols of a military state. The bad news: in 30 years, Hummers are going to be classic cars, and they'll be another sort of status symbol.
