Drinking for a Cause: Beer First, Water Second

waterfirstlogo.gif With a goal of supplying some of the poorest countries (in Ethiopia, India, Bangladesh and Honduras), with clean water, strong health education, and water irrigation, Water 1st strives to help those less fortunate. However, the organization recognizes that we are a society that craves something unique, which is why they are organizing a festival of sorts. They've cleverly married people's sense of charity to their desire to drink beer with the 2010 Water 1st Beer 2nd Fun(d)raiser.

On Friday the 5th of March, at the Naval Reserve Building (aka, The Armory) starting at 7:00 PM you are invited to enjoy craft beers (from Georgetown, Hales, Mac & Jack's, Pike, & Two Beers), wine from Sawtooth Winery, and some killer food from local restaurants. Don't worry if you choose to play it safe and be a DD (Designated Driver), as you are invited to dance the night away courtesy of the ElecktraLytes.

All it costs you is $35 and a few hours of your time to help support those much less fortunate. Your ticket also gets you a chance to win a trip to Hawaii. For more information and to RSVP please visit their site.

Cheers

7:00 PM Water 1st Beer 2nd // Naval "Armory" Reserve Bldg. // 860 Terry Avenue North

Thanks for helping us spread the word about our event. It's fun, casual, and you'd spend this much to eat, drink beer, and listen to live music anyway, so why not do it for a good cause.

We do sell tickets at the door, but if you pre-pay on our website, you're autmatically entered in a contest to win our famous, limited edition pint glasses!

    Hope to see you there!
