Can't Miss It: Tuesday
SEX AND CUPCAKES: Editor Rachel Kramer Bussel and local authors Kerry Cohen and Janet Hardy will be reading from their selected work in the annual collection, Best Sex Writing 2010 tonight. For this year's anthology, Bussel reveals that if she had to pick a theme it would be centered around the idea of a sexual outlaw. And along with stories on ideas such as married sex vs. affair sex, or cunts and their relationship to sexuality, there will be free cupcakes from Trophy on a first come, first served basis. All in all pretty darn enticing.
7:30 p.m. // Elliott Bay Book Company, 101 S. Main St. // FREE
SPLENDID READING: Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, local creators of the popular online comic Penny Arcade, will be reading from their latest collection The Splendid Magic of Penny Arcade tonight. Penny Arcade has been a well-known webcomic since beginning in 1998, and the collection details the history of the comic and "appears to catalog the lives of two young men who are utterly steeped in popular culture."

JONI MITCHELL COMES TO SEATTLE: As noted earlier, Joni Mitchell's The Fiddle and the Drum will be making its U.S. debut tonight at the Paramount Theatre. And as an added bonus, Joni Mitchell will be in attendance for the show and to conduct a Q & A following the performance. A fusion of contemporary dance, visual art, and music, The Fiddle and the Drum pairs 14 of Mitchell's timeless songs with technical dance sequences and projected art. And Joni Mitchell will be there!
