National Pancake Day
Time to carb out:Tuesday is National Pancake Day. Not to be confused with Shrove Tuesday, National Pancake Day is a nonsecular holiday dedicated to the enjoyment of the pancake.
We didn't even know it existed, but it sounds like a pretty good deal:
Children’s Miracle Network and IHOP restaurants nationwide will celebrate National Pancake Day on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 7 am to 10 pm. IHOP will be offering a free short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes to each guest and in return, diners will be asked to leave a little something behind for Children’s Miracle Network.Seattle is distressingly short on IHOPs -- Google Maps shows three in Seattle proper and ten in the Puget Sound Basin -- but depending on how much you like 'cakes, it may be time to make the trek.
