Hard Rock Seattle -- Est. February 2010

The doors are open at Seattle's brand new Hard Rock Cafe. Today's "soft-opening" doesn't come with the pomp and rock that the Grand Opening celebration will bring in the future, but for anyone who has been interested in seeing what the company has done with the place and which Seattle relics they've managed to lay their hands on, a full menu and service staff await.

We're told a rooftop terrace with couches and firepits offers good views and the building itself is Silver LEED certified. Located on Pike between First and Second Ave, the restaurant will likely be packed with more tourists than memorabilia, but there's talk that it will host lots of local concerts, and if it pairs that with a decent hapy hour, Hard Rock should draw in plenty of locals, too.

We can help but wonder, though, shouldn't we already have had a Seattle Hard Rock? C'est la vie.
