Report: Hawks Tap Packer for GM
This morning, we have an as of yet unconfirmed report from ESPN’s Len Pasquerelli that the Seahawks have chosen John Schneider from the Green Bay Packers to be their new GM.
Schneider, 38, is no stranger to the Hawks' front office, having served a year there under Mike Holmgren as director of player personnel in 2000. He stayed one season before jetting to the other Washington and joining the Redskins, eventually moving onto Green Bay where he’s been the director of football operations for the last couple of years.
No word on when an official announcement might come from high, but the Hawks’ other GM candidate, former Titans GM Floyd Reese, seems to have been passed over.
With two cornerstones of GM and head coach filled, the two can now try to pull an Obama/Biden and figure out how the hell to fix the catastrophe left to them by their predecessors.
