Breaking News: Angry Mob Wins Again, Mora Out

Let the housecleaning continue!

After just one season as Seahawks head coach, Jim Mora was fired today, despite indications from team CEO Tod Leiweke last month that he'd keep Mora onboard next season.

The ouster comes barely a month after GM Tim Ruskell abruptly resigned, pretty much because if he hadn't, then this day would've come for him as well.

Mora posted a 5-11 record this season, which ended with four straight losses--including one to the then 1-12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the once foreboding Qwest Field. Seattlest pretty much tuned out and focused on family time during the holidays.

Mora is the shortest-tenured head coach in team history. We feel slightly bad, only because Mora, an Interlake High and UW alum, had said the Seahawks head coaching job was his dream job. But still, no fan is regretting this move.

What other moves are being contemplated from Paul Allen's Mercer Island lair? Only time will tell.

Just to be accurate...he didn't say the 'Hawk job was his dream job. It was the Huskies. Kind of ironic there! He can still dream.
