Happening Tonight: Three-Year Beer, Bye-Bye Boundary Bay IPA

It's seven days into the new year, and already many of you have fallen off your resolution wagons! Here are a couple of celebratory excuses to return to beer.

Changing of the House Beer at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle at 6 p.m. tonight. Your reliable Boundary Bay IPA is being kicked off for the new kid on the block. Last November Redmond's Black Raven won bragging rights for a whole year with their Trickster IPA becoming the BPP house beer. Show up tonight to yell in joy or anger as Black Raven's Beaux Bowman and company give away swag and answer questions on the new house beer.

Beveridge Place Pub // 6413 California Ave SW // (206) 932-9906

Staying Vertical with Snow Cap at Brouwer's Cafe in Fremont, also at 6 p.m. Leave a bottle of Rainier or Oly in the fridge too long and it will taste like Lake Washington. Leave a bottle of Snow Cap in the fridge too long and it might taste pretty good. Save the shelf space for that pizza box and come to Brouwer's as they serve you three years' worth of Snow Cap (2007, 2008, and this year’s Super Snow Cap).

Brouwer's Cafe // 400 N. 35th Street // (206) 267-2437

Cheers.
