Doing a Shot of Jager with Saint Nick: A Pub Crawl Notice
Image by Espressobuzz from the Seattlest flickr pool.
Tonight is the first full day of the Winter Solstice, and again people have procrastinated on their Christmas purchases. In between the profanity-laced exclamations yelled from the comfort of a car, one finds the time to settle down at the bar to self-medicate. While sitting on that stool or chair, you can't help but wonder, what would doing a shot with Mr. Claus be like?
Starting at 6:30 p.m. and assuming you are at Piper's Creek ("Pub at Piper's," to the dames), you will get that opportunity to not just have a sip with old Saint Nick, but quite possibly Jesus, Baby Jesus, or some other oversized and entertaining character from X-Mas lore. A pub crawl for beer geeks, the event is entertaining--and with the pictures you take, you save a ton on photo inserts for those unmailed cards. Below is a complete list with estimated times for those willing to forgo their sanity for at least four or five hours tonight.
6:30 p.m.: (Pub at) Pipers Creek, 10527 Greenwood Avenue North
7:15 p.m. (estimated arrival time): Naked City Brewery & Taphouse, 8564 Greenwood Avenue North
8:00 p.m. (estimated arrival time): The Dray, 708 Northwest 65th Street
8:45 p.m. (estimated arrival time): Brouwer’s Cafe, 400 North 35th Street
9:30 p.m. (estimated arrival time): Duck Island, 7317 Aurora Avenue North / Kangaroo & Kiwi, 7305 Aurora Avenue North
Cheers.
