Can't Miss It: Tuesday

SO WONDERFUL: Taproot Theatre Company is putting on It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play tonight at North Seattle Community College. It's a Wonderful Life was first originally broadcasted on the radio in 1947, though most of us have only had the pleasure of watching it on VHS. If you're in need of some warm and fuzzy goodness and a little extra holiday cheer, here is the event for you. Great for the family, and for those who want to see a live version of this all-time holiday classic.

7:30 p.m. // North Seattle Community College Stage One Theatre, 9600 College Way N // Tickets: $20-33

CHECK IT OUT BEFORE IT'S GONE: This will be Black Nativity's last year at Intiman Theatre. This holiday tradition featuring Pastor Patrinell Wright has become so popular, it needs a bigger space--which isn't totally unfortunate. Regardless, Black Nativity features performances by the Total Experience Gospel Choir and the Black Nativity Choir, along with an on-stage band and a full ensemble of dancers. Though we tend to shy away from big holiday events, we've heard this one was a damn good time in past years.

7:30 p.m. // Intiman Theatre, 201 Mercer St. // Tickets: $15-25

YES, THE PRICE IS RIGHT: As mentioned yesterday, Richard Price is in town tonight speaking as a part of the Seattle Arts & Lectures 2009-10 Literary Arts Series at Benaroya Hall. Who doesn't love Richard Price?! Mastermind of The Wire, his latest novel (which we hear is OUTSTANDING) Lush Life, and other favorites such as The Color of Money and Clockers, we have no doubt that Price's lecture is going to be absolutely awesome.

7:30 p.m. // Benaroya Hall, 200 University Street // Tickets: $10-50+
