These Arms Are Venomous

These arms are snakes. Sure, they aren't the best for executing handstands or gripping silverware. But they're great for climbing trees, and they can swallow large prey whole, which is nice.

These arms are snakes, and nothing says post-hardcore like snake arms. That's why Seattle-based punk band These Arms Are Snakes is aptly named. The group carries the hardcore torch left by genre staples like Refused and Quicksand in its strong slithery arms, while adding an authentic progressive touch. With three successful albums since 2004, the group is holding that torch high. Known for its fierce live performances, the band wraps up its most recent national tour with a homecoming show at The Vera Project Saturday night with DD-MM-YYYY and Constant Lovers. Front man Steve Snere isn't afraid to throw his weight around and spend some close-up time with the audience. The Vera should provide room for everyone's wriggling moves.
