WHAT'S IN STORE FOR JAY: Jay Reatard is playing an in-store at Easy Street on Queen Anne, marking the release of Watch Me Fall, his new album on Matador Records. It's free and all ages. If you're not aware, Jay is a "garage punk musician from Memphis, Tennessee," who was recently seen exhorting his Twitter followers to help him become the juggalo king. If you can't make it tonight, he'll be playing another in-store tomorrow at the Ballard Sonic Boom.

CAPTURED ON FILM: The parking lot cinema at Havana on Capitol Hill is the home of Captured, as soon as it gets dark. Ben Solomon and Dan Levin's documentary about Lower East Side photographer (and "voyeur and provocateur") Clayton Patterson has been very popular in many cities far cooler than Seattle, and a parking lot in the Pike/Pine corridor is probably an apt setting for a film about NYC's last lawless frontier. Movie starts about 9:30 p.m. and there's dj music after.
8 p.m. gates // Havana Social Club, 1010 East Pike Street // $5 or free with stamp from The Saint
EVERYONE IN THE CULT LOVES YOU: As we were saying the other week, tonight is a night that will live in Seattle rock 'n' roll history. The Cult is at the Moore, playing a live version of their smash 1985 album Love. That's hits like "Nirvana," "Big Neon Glitter," "Brother Wolf, Sister Moon," "Revolution," and "She Sells Sanctuary"--now how much would you pay? (Hopefully $30 or $40 because that's what tickets are going for.) Again, we close with the words of Ian Astbury: "We never had fans--we have addicts. You either need it or you don't. You either get it or you won't. There is nothing casual about The Cult. We attract pure votaries." Fucking A, Ian.
7:30 p.m. // The Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Avenue // Tickets: $27.50-$37.50 plus fees
