State Opening New I-5 Parking Lot This Weekend

Holy clust--ha, that's funny, you know how with some profanities you can swap vowels around and make them funny and socially palatable at the same time? Clusterfuck is not one of those words.

WSDOT tells us that from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday, they're closing the onramp from Yale Avenue to southbound I-5 and one lane of southbound I-5 between Yale and Union Street. (Same deal 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.) "Southbound I-5 drivers should expect delays of up to 60 minutes through downtown Seattle on Saturday and delays of up to 20 minutes on Sunday."

Why yes, there is a Seahawks pre-season game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Why do you ask?

Swap some consonants and you get "Fustercluck". That's not bad, right?

Hey, you're right! Consonants. What was I thinking with vowels? That's crazy. Consonants are the way to go.

  • I thought it was a different kind of word joke. Say it out loud, "holy clust." I thought it was distasteful, but I guess it wasn't intentional.

What on earth are you going on about, Troy? "holyclust" doesn't sound like anything at all. Are you drunk again?

  • Whatever, quitter!

And don't forget this automatically opens a new Aurora parking lot at the same time!

    Parking for everyone!
