State Puts Glacier Ski Cabins up for Sale Removal

WSDOT has decided to put their twenty-two ski cabins located in the Mount Baker ski area on the auction block. Turns out that WSDOT originally picked up 3.4 acres of property, home of Glacier Creek Lodge and all of its twenty-two cabins, as part of the Gallup Creek bridge replacement project.

Now the state just wants the cabins gone for good, which means they need to be physically removed--yes, you can pay for a cabin to be picked up and moved--from the land by September 30. Bids start at $10; the auction begins 10 a.m. Wednesday at 10036 Mount Baker Highway in Glacier.
