Tonight: Seattlest Trivia at the Old Pequliar

Get your nerd on tonight at Seattlest trivia. Converge with your fellow brainiacs at the Old Pequliar to win valuable cash (if you're one of the top three teams), the Valiant Effort award of valuable swag (if you're in last place), or a special mystery prize during the audio round.

The quiz starts at 8:00. Sign-up starts at 7:45 or so. Pick your friends, pick your brain, pick your friends' brains—it's just $5 for a team of up to 5 people, or $7 to supersize your brainpower to a team of 6. The bar doubles the prize pool, so there's a decent chunk of change on the line.

In the meantime, you have an early shot at a free pitcher of beer. Just riddle us this: What do these people have in common? Stephen Colbert, Robert Cormier, Beyoncé Knowles, Richard Matheson, Leonard Nimoy, and Tom Wolfe

oooh, is this a weekly/monthly thing? i live right near the op and have been looking all around ballard for a decent quiz night. inquiring minds want to know.

There's a quiz weekly. The hosts rotate -- there's a schedule in the Facebook group -- but I always host the first Tuesday of the month.

All the hosts are equally awesome, but I'm more equally awesome than the others.

It's true. I didn't go because he's too awesome. I wound up at the (joke of a trivia) Clever Dunn's. Our team name was great: No Sco-Sco for Co-Co O'Briiiiiiiaaan.
