Post Office Closures Expected, Blame Online Bill Pay

The post office is a storefront that we'd never expect to see shut down, but because of recent hard times the U.S. Postal Service is dealing with a $7 billion potential loss this fiscal year. Not even the 2-cent price increase for stamps can save the day. Curse you, online bill pay (shaking fist!). Thousands of post offices nationwide are getting the once over, even Seattle's Federal Station, which is one of six Washington offices on the list of 700 expected to close.

let the postal service do there jobs. On line is not good one day when the computer crash and everything about you is wipe out in one second do you really think your creditors are going to be nice. Then The Postal Service will come to the rescue. It's not an easy job everyone should work 1week in the bulk mail cts where all the mail from all over goes to the post offices for delivery. Did it what a treat. It takes alot for your letters to get from a to b. Everyone should be thanking a postal worker

Poor customer service is painting a broad brush over many well meaning and helpful postal employees, doing what they can, with what they've got. Like public schools and welfare, they are damned by being associated with and prodded with mandate by government.

All GSE's(government sponsored enterprises)lack key elements crucial to any economy driven activity, competition, efficiency, and reward for merit. Figure a way for this entity to break from the public dole and see emerge the most efficient, smiley, and technologically advanced postal systems in the world, complete with bill pay service.

Honestly the Post Office should have closed a lot OF POST OFFICES a long time ago, they have wasted a lot of money opening many Post Offices across the country that were not needed or even or necessary. Some post offices cost come close to 10 millions a year to run, and they are not necessary to have or are they really needed. There are a lot in Texas alone. they could have been saving 4 to 6 billions a year, for the past 6 years. WHAT THAT 20 PLUS BILLIONS DOLLARS

I wouldn't be so quick to blame online bill pay, rather I would blame the lack of customer service. USPS is the worst when it comes to customer service. THE WORST!
