Prepare For The Hot Hot Seattle Heat
If you didn't stock up on fans, porches, and Mint Juleps this past weekend to brave the heat, you may want to rethink that decision.
This week (and perhaps even longer) Seattle will be experiencing one helluva summer heat wave--to the point where an excessive heat warning has been issued for our area until Thursday, July 30.
KOMO's weather team is reporting Wednesday and Thursday will be duking it out for the week's hottest temp with some parts of Puget Sound flirting with highs of 100 degrees. Sizzlin! For all the record-keepers out there, if we rack up five 90+ days in a row, according to UW weather guru Cliff Mass, "we will tie the record for consecutive days above 90F." And with that said, we'll have another Mint Julep, please!
