Can't Miss It: Weekend Edition July 24-26

BLOCK PARTY: Yep, it's this weekend. Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, yadda, yadda, yadda. It's a big deal, go watch a concert in the street. Changes to the layout of the party are being hyped as solving the extended misery problem that virtually everyone who's ever been to the Block Party over the last couple years has complained about, so please some let us know if you can actually move once you're on the inside.

Fri. doors 3 p.m., Sat. doors 1 p.m. // Capitol Hill Block Party // 12th Ave. & E. Pike St. // tix $23 per day, $42 for both

FUCKED-UP HORROR: Following up its SIFF run, the much-buzzed-about Deadgirl hits Seattle this weekend on its "midnight screening" tour for two nights at the Grand Illusion. The film is about a couple teenage boys who go exploring an abandoned asylum and find a beautiful (and naked, of course!) woman tied up in a back room. She's a zombie or something.

Fri. & Sat., midnight // The Grand Illusion Cinema // 1403 NE 50th St. // $8

EASTSIDE ARTSY: This weekend is the 63rd annual Bellevue Arts Fair. 325 odd exhibitors will be hocking their wares, and there's a variety of activities for kids and adults. If you have to escape the Block Party, this might be your chance to finally see what Bellevue looks like.

Fri.-Sun. starting at 6:30 a.m. // Bellevue Arts Fair // Bellevue Sq. & Bellevue Art Museum // free admission
