Weekend News Round-Up

  • The biggest story in town this weekend? Light rail, hands down, and we have plenty on it. Then again, we're just a drop in the bucket of 92,000.
  • Well-known and well-respected Seattle sound engineer Tom Pfaeffle got shot by a nut-job. Rest in peace, sir. News of even more random violence is oh-so-comforting. At least it was all the way out in Twisp.
  • Oh wait--armed mugging on Capitol Hill (Seattle911, CHS)

If you guys insist on sticking with the making light of local deaths shtick, how about at least throwing in an RIP here and there?

RIP, Mr. Pfaeffle. Not sure how I was making light of it, it's horrible. The "comforting" was ironic--I thought that was obvious--and otherwise, what? By all accounts a perfectly innocent, respected guy got killed by a jackass with a gun.
