Cookie Maker's Minis Make It to the Rachael Ray Show

While we're still rejoicing that two area chefs will be competing on Top Chef starting next month, how about a little instant gratification?

We've got a top pastry chef, of sorts. Mei-I Funtanilla, former pastry chef at Serafina, is not a big fan of the big cookie, so she developed her own line and called them Sweet Miniatures. And today, these tiny cookies have found their way to the Rachael Ray Show. (In Seattle, tune to KIRO-7 at 3 p.m.)

Will Rachael Ray make her a star? Befitting her cookies, maybe a miniature one. To taste Funtanilla's creations, check out her website for a listing of various retailers in the Puget Sound area, including DeLaurenti Specialty Food and Wine and Pasta & Co. They're sold in packages of twelve in the following flavors: vanilla brown butter, chocolate almond, milk chocolate chunk, chai. Also available are toffee brownies and white chocolate pistachio biscotti.
