Can't Miss It: Weekend Edition July 10-12
FREE POP SODAS FOR SEATTLEITES: For quite some time, every Friday the folks over at Jones Soda handed out free sodas to their South Lake Union neighbors and passersby, dubbing the program "Free Soda Friday." Well, the soda makers are offering not just the parched and thirsty, but all of Seattle a free Jones Soda, if you stop by their SLU headquarters today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (And if you can't make it today FSF will take place at the Queen Anne Metropolitan Market the next two Fridays.)
8 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday // Jones Soda Co., 234 Ninth Avenue North // One free soda per person
A NIGHT OF HOLIDAY OVERLOAD: There will be so much holiday celebration packed into one night at the Annex Theatre's annual All-Holiday Party, you'll be saying, "Merry St. Hallow's Easter-mas, and a Happy Thanks-Independence New Valentine's Year!" As the clock ticks throughout the night you'll experience fourteen different holidays, which will present new decorations, new activities, and new drink specials. We're thinking the transitions between Chinese New Year and Groundhog Day or Yom Kippur and Halloween will be highly entertaining.
7 p.m., Saturday // Annex Theatre, 1100 E Pike Street // Tickets: $10
DEPRESSION-FREE MUSIC : Be a part of the first-ever No Depression Festival, an all day long roots music extravaganza at Redmond's Marymoor Park. Additional featured performers include: Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Seattle Roots-Music All-Star Revue, and Zee Avi.
