There isn't much going on here at Seattlest today, many of our writers have punched out early for the long holiday weekend. Some are off enjoying the sun, tracking down fireworks or doing absolutely nothing at all.

MvB is off to see Tres Triste Tigres on Friday night, and then on Saturday it's Hopvine's Tennis Tournament (Wimble-what?) at the courts at Volunteer Park. Mmm...strawberry waffles to go, please!

Amid continuing work on his kitchen remodel, Jack will take a break at some point this weekend to hike to Wallace Falls with his wife and their funny dog. Whether working or playing this weekend, the grill will be hot and the beer cold.

John will be working because he slacked all through high school and ended up with a laughable journalism degree.

Kim P. will be floating around Green Lake in her brand new raft, wearing her spf 70 sunscreen, of course.

Currently at a friend's cabin in the old mining town of Silverton, along the Stillaguamish on Mountain Loop Highway, Seth will curtail his fishing/hiking activities Friday so as to make it back to Seattle in time for the big holiday -- his Mom's birthday. (As a child, she thought the fireworks were for her.) On the docket: A BBQ with the grandparents at Echo Lake. Then he plans to go set off fireworks at this guy's house.

Roger is visiting the Tulalip Reservation for fireworks then taking his illicit goods to Camano Island where he will light up the sky!

Jay will watch some Wimbledon tennis, play some tennis, and likely stay away from restaurants and fireworks.

Tom plans to do nothing at all.
