ONE SINGULAR SENSATION: James D. Stern and Adam Del Deo's award-winning documentary Every Little Step is finally in Seattle, and we think musical and film lovers alike will get a kick out of this new hit. The film follows the legacy of A Chorus Line, through four decades of amazing actors, behind-the-scenes dramas, and variations on the international musical favorite. Every Little Step is also the first documentary in Broadway history to be allowed filming privileges throughout the extensive audition process for last year's recent revival, showing anything and everything that is A Chorus Line.
(4:15), 7:15, 9:35 p.m. // Harvard Exit, 807 East Roy // Tickets: $7-9.50
DRAG KINGS!: Okay, so yes we know that Pride weekend just ended, but who doesn't love a good comedy/drag show? Puget Sound drag troupe The Royal Knights will be at the Jewel Box Theatre for an encore night of Hallelujah! A Drag King Revival! The Encore!, and we've heard these guys are downright hilarious. With past skits such as "Which Backstreet Boy is Gay?" and "I'm the Only Gay Eskimo," who can resist? Keep in mind--their last show at Jewel Box Theatre in May sold out, so the earlier you buy your tickets, the better.
7-9:30 p.m. // Jewel Box Theatre at the Rendezvous, 2322 2nd Ave // Tickets: $12 (plus tax), or $17 at the door
A VETERAN'S STORY: Catherine Whitney will be reading from her latest non-fiction book Soldiers Once: My Brother and the Lost Dreams of America's Veterans. Following the life and death of her brother as a Vietnam War veteran (who died alone at 53, with only $62 to his name), Whitney documents how our country treats veterans upon their return, and what they are in store for once after their service ends.
7:30 p.m. // Elliott Bay Book Company, 101 South Main Street // FREE
