Argosy Unveils New Fight Club Cruise Option

Girlfight.jpg And it's a success! Some party-pooper called 911 last Saturday night at about 1:40 a.m. to report the excitement at the 1100 block of Alaskan Way. We hear the police were able to get in on it, which we feels detracts from the amateur nature of the event. KOMO, take it away:

When police arrived, they found a chaotic scene of more than 100 people on the dock, many of them shouting and arguing. Officers then learned that some passengers were still physically fighting aboard the ship.

Officers moved to the dock to begin clearing the ship, where they found a small group of people blocking the gangway and preventing passengers from leaving the vessel.

A male and female police officer were assaulted by two women while trying to get the crowd to disperse. They were like enraged jungle cats! is how we imagine a bystander describing the scene. Oddly, the TV people (et tu, KIRO?) keep referring to the incident as happening on a "cruise ship," when the most likely address of the disturbance is Argosy. You'd think for accuracy they'd say "booze cruise ship" to avoid besmirching the reputations of our larger, family-friendly Port customers.

In a possibly related development, we were downtown walking to our car a little after one a.m. when a shiny black SUV rolled by with a grim-looking frosted blonde at the wheel, and a guy in a suit passed out at the passenger window, his head lolling as the contents of his stomach streamed feebly down the side of the car. He was throwing up when we caught sight of him, and puking as he exited our vision a few blocks down. Our money says he was a seafaring man!
