NFL Quarterbacks: They're Just Like Us!
Matt Hasselbeck was stuck on a delayed flight from Newark to Seattle this morning. So how did Hass pass the time? By Tweeting!:
"Stuck on a runway in NYC. Its been about 90 min so far, kids still doing well. So glad we're on Alaska!""Flight attendant just gave my kids DisneyLand coloring books. They're so confused."
"Sitting in a chair in the sky! uh, I mean a chair on the ground."
"make it 120 min."
"Haven't pushed back from gate yet so a couple of diff people just asked to get off the flight--trip not worth it to them now."
"Could be worse--could be flying all the way to New Zealand.... or to Pittsburgh."
"#12 for pushback, #300 for takeoff."
That last must have been a joke (as was the Super Bowl XL reference...damn refs!). The flight, which we've deduced was Alaska #11, finally did take off nearly two hours late.
In other Seahawks Twitter news, Darryl Tapp has a question: "If a tv station asked you which old skool cartoon to put back on the air what would it be? I am feeling tom and jerry, flintsones, or jetson" (We're thinking Thundercats.)
Walter Jones is hoping all the kids at his annual football camp in Huntsville, Ala. don't get too hot, as "suppose 2 B 105 degree on Saturday." Nice use of abbreviation!
And retired Seahawk Robbie Tobeck would like us to know that he'll be at the Western Bass Club meeting in Kennydale tonight.
This--not any Iranian protest organizing--is why we truly must not have any Twitter outages.
UPDATE -- Hass has landed! Via Twitter: "Just finished sitting in a chair in the sky. Kids were great. Too tired to do the math of how long it took."
