Can't Miss It: Tuesday

FASHION HIGHLIGHTS: Seattle Central Community College's Apparel Design program will be featuring their final line and portfolio show, The Shape of Things, throughout the day at the SCCC campus. The show will also include work by students Becky Sullivan and Maria E. Canada, both of whom had recent big wins in the Seattle fashion world. Canada took second place at the 2009 Project Red Dress fashion show, and Sullivan took home first place for both the Seattle Fashion Week Design Competition and the Seamless in Seattle Best Everyday Collection. We definitely recommend checking out Sullivan's collection, as there are some excellent pieces--we have no doubt that we'll be hearing more about her in the future.

9 a.m.-6 p.m. // 1701 Broadway Room BE 1110, SCCC campus // FREE

NEVER TOO GAY: Adrian Ryan will be reading from his new "field guide" Way Too Gay: Gay Seattle Survival Guide! tonight. Reading from a book filled with much Pacific Northwest gay history, dirty little secrets, and horror stories from local favorites such as Dina Martina and Dan Savage, and all the juicy gossip you could hope for, we have a feeling that this evening will be as entertaining as it will be memorable.

7 p.m. // Travelers, 501 East Pine Street // FREE

GOOD OLD FASHIONED POP: Todd Rundgren is gracing us with his fabulous self tonight at the Triple Door. Just hearing his name brings back the nostalgia of listening to him in the car with our mother while growing up, and even now we still throw him on the iPod occasionally to sing along with all the windows rolled up. And you really got to give it to him--the man has been playing music for more than three decades, and is still being touted as a returning favorite at a decent venue (that isn't a casino). We think it'd be pretty awesome to hear old favorites such as "Hello, It's Me" and "We Gotta Get You a Woman" live and from the comfort of one the Triple Door's cozy booths.

8 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. // The Triple Door, 216 Union Street // Tickets: $45
