Post Alley Gum Wall, As Gross As It Gets


A vision of beauty to some, while others, including tourist site TripAdvisor find Seattle's gum wall to be one of the grossest and germiest tourist attractions in the world--second only to the Irish Blarney Stone. The once flavorful wall o' gum, found near Seattle's Market Theatre in Post Alley, has been getting "germy" since the 1990s. The sticky tradition first began when Market Theatre showgoers stuck the colorful wad of bubble gum on the wall as they waited in line for tickets.

It also gets cleaned fairly regularly and restarted. I'm not sure the time, at least annually, if not quarterly.
