Porchlight Coffee Opens on Capitol Hill

Porchlight1.jpg Even in tough times, there are entrepreneurs ready to start a new business. Today is the second day of business for Porchlight Coffee [MySpace] on 14th between Pike and Pine on Capitol Hill.

Owner Zack Bolotin, 22, is serving up a nice blend of Herkimer coffees (including iced), teas, bagels and pastries. He's open seven days a week, weekdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (The hours are tentative while he works out what his customer traffic is like.) Buy 10 drinks and the 11th is free.

Stop in a grab a cup at their Grand Opening Party, Saturday, 7 p.m.. We'll beat this recession one latte at a time.

The owner is 22?! I was proceeding to get smashed and stay out late when I was 22, not opening my own business.

Best of luck to him though.
