Yesterday being a gorgeous day with the sun shining and temperatures in the 70s, we decided to finally do something we've been thinking about for some time: Take the King County Water Taxi over to West Seattle for the helluvit. We didn't know what we'd do once we got there. Thought we'd probably just find a quiet spot and read. Once there, however, it wasn't long before we stumbled upon the little bike/skate/kayak rental place around the corner from the fish & chips joint. Yes, please!
Since our Flex Pass covered the fee for riding the taxi ($3 one-way, $1 with Metro transfer), we didn't hesitate to pay the $7 per hour rental fee for the bike, a comfy beach cruiser. Off we went on the best lunch break ever.
To be clear, this ended up being more of a two-hour lunch break, but totally worth it.
View from aboard the taxi. We felt bad for elderly folks taking Argosy cruises this day because the tide was out quite a ways, making the gangway ramps pretty steep. This view reminds us of how massive downtown always looked to us whenever we took the ferry to Seattle when we lived in Bremerton years ago.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

More of this, please! I like Jack adventures.
Yes, what Audrey said. And what with your bag's strap across your shoulder looking like a skinny, mod tie, you need to get yourself some skinny mod ties.
inexpensive fun to take city visitors on as well.
