And joining the Ting Tings, another cancellation: "Bumbershoot regrets to announce that Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan have cancelled their appearance at Bumbershoot."
Meanwhile, the comedy lineup is getting fleshed out with Doug Benson’s "The Benson Interruption," as well as: Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, Matt Braunger, Tommy Johnagin, Reggie Watts, Charlyne Yi, and Jon Glaser.
$80 three-day passes are still available, and a limited number of $25 single-day tickets are now available. After those are gone, you'll have to wait till July 21st to get single-day tickets, and at that point, they'll run ya $35.

Bumbershoot's 2009 lineup features Pacific Northwest Ballet; a special presentation by PS122, New York’s world-renowned presenter of experimental and alternative performance; the 1 Reel Film Festival: a weekend-long series of film shorts curated by Seattle International Film Festival; The Goldberg Variations; and a one-of-a-kind literary program including groundbreaking Young Adult novelist S.E. Hinton, David Cross (with his new book I Drink For A Reason), a poetry reading curated by Spencer Moody (of Murder City Devils), Youth Speaks Seattle (featuring Staceyann Chin and Prometheus Brown (Geo of Blue Scholars)) and chefs-cum-authors Kathleen Flinn (The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry) and Tom Douglas, among others.The Festival’s acclaimed arts programming ranges from groundbreaking work set in visual art galleries to site-specific artistry that goes beyond the gallery walls and breaks the bounds of imagination. Over Labor Day weekend, Bumbershoot is host to Wise Fool New Mexico’s Flexion on Seattle Center’s Fountain Lawn. Set on an elegant free standing aerial rig, Wise Fool offers a tremendous display of aerial stilt movement: hanging, falling and flying on the cutting edge of humanity and grace.

Looks like I'm grilling this Labor Day weekend instead.
I think its a fantastic lineup! Its nice seeing Bumbershoot getting back to it roots and supporting more independent artists. The last few years have been waning.
