Pour One Out for Ballard's Archie McPhee

It's a dark day for Seattle jokesters, as the iconic Archie McPhee close their Ballard storefront door after ten years of selling fake poop and punching nuns. We all hate the moving process and apparently so do the folks at Archie McPhee. So before they close today at 5 p.m., it's a free-for-all as they give away the last of their random odds and ends. But don't get your rubber chicken in a bind if you can't make it tonight, the new Wallingford store (45th and Stone Way) will be opening on Monday morning.

You mean the newest Wallingford store. McPhee is making their triumphant return to Wallingford.

The liquor store should just move into that place across the street where Bastyr was. It seems like that place has been brown and essentially empty since Bastyr and the mediocre Mexican place left, what, 3 years ago? Maybe McPhee will expand into there. The liquor store place seems too small.

I hate that I now have Archie McPhee where my liquor store should be. Getting a Jesus action figure and a length of surgical tubing is certainly nice, but it's no bottle of tequila.
