ALL THAT JAZZ!: If your musical soul isn't daring enough to venture to Sasquatch or hippy-dippy enough for the Folklife Festival, you can check out the smooth tunes at the--air conditioned--Bellevue Jazz Festival. Curtains open tonight with the preeminent young male jazz singer Kurt Elling and Grammy winner, Dianne Reeves. Weekend performances include: Mingus Big Band, Mose Allison Trio and the Seattle Rep. Jazz Orchestra.
On a budget? The festival has a few free shows, featuring our very own local talented pool of rising jazz stars.

Performance times and locations vary, Friday-Sunday // Theatre at Meydenbauer Center, 11100 NE 6th St. // Tickets: Packages $59-149

SEX EDUCATION: We truly can't write it any better, "Mary Kay Letourneau Hosts 'Hot for Teacher' Night." See, now doesn't that speak for itself? We are just glad it was Seattle, who could give life to a second-chance career, for the famous sexual predator of a teacher. If you find your self stumbling through Pioneer Square this Saturday to this hot mess of an event. Please, please humor us and report back.

9:30 p.m., Saturday // Fuel Sports Eats & Beats, 164 S. Washington St. // Tickets: $10 Cover

A LITTLE LESS CLASSY: If you're trying to shake off a "I swear I'll never drink again" hangover or continuing steady and strong from the previous night of partying, may we suggest checking out Seattle Tattoo Emporium's debauchery inspired “Low Brow" art show. Described as the collection from the underbelly of true American art. The show will featuring the eclectic work of DJ Hubba Hubba, Jimmy the Saint, Jaime Von Marts, Eric Von Marts, and Zach Nelson; that involves everything from hot rods, tattoo designs, motorcycle imagery, pin-striped trays and the mixed media depiction of the Mexican border.

3:00 p.m., Sunday // Lava Lounge, 2226 2nd Ave // Tickets: No cover, pay as you go
