Hail to the Victors! Seattle Wins with Nicest Drivers
Feel the greatness of our victory over Tacoma. Muahahahahaha! Once again Seattle proved to have the nicest and safest drivers between the two cities. As we mentioned previously, today was the proclaimed "Drive Nice Day" drivers' challenge.
From 7 to 9 a.m., spotters recorded the good and the bad driving actions of 6,240 drivers at the intersection of Pike and Boren in Seattle and 6,360 drivers at Hosmer and 72nd in Tacoma. Seattle came out the nicest winner, with only five percent of our fellow commuters displaying not nice driving behaviors (we will deal with you later!) to Tacoma's seven percent.
Results prove we've gotten better not talking on the phone and actually using our handheld devices. However, our naughtiest and most common mistake was for improper usage of signals, or lack thereof. Now we know what needs work for next year. Nice going, Seattle!
