Can't Miss It: Wednesday

FREE DATE NIGHT: Shop sex toys with your beloved. We're going to quote here: "Enjoy mini-workshops on fellatio, the G-spot, and sex positions." The first twenty-five couples in the door get a goodie bag, so if you are both cheap and horny, this is the place for tonight.

7 p.m. // Babeland // 707 E Pike St // free

SITA SAYS: Prepare for SIFF kicking off tomorrow by catching the last night of this '08 Festival film at Central Cinema. Sita Sings the Blues is a hyper-stylized feature, a retelling of the Hindu myth of Sita (also known as Maithili, also known as Janeki, also known as Vaidehi), found in the epic Ramayana--meshed with the very autobiographical story of director/writer/animator Nina Paley and her own greatest breakup ever told. Psychedelic Indian Woof.

7 p.m., 9:15 p.m. // Central Cinema // 1411 21st Ave // $6

SASQUATCH PRE-PARTY: There's DJ AM, Matt & Kim, and Drop the Lime at Neumo's for a free (with RSVP) event. But we'd rather be at the Croc to see the official Sasquatch pre-party show with Doves, who have one great and a couple meh albums, and Wild Light, who keep on saying they're going to send us a video of them singing a song for Seattle, but never follow through. They're not our enemies...YET.

8 p.m. doors // The Crocodile // 2200 2nd Ave // $20

SILVIE'S OLD MAN BIRTHDAY: Nuff said.
