Plastic kiddie pools may be the best option to cool off this summer. Seattle's Parks and Recreation won't be opening 11 of the city's 25 wading pools. Four pools plan to open June 20.
West Seattle Blog reminds us that May is "Better Speech and Hearing Month." Apparently 1 out of 10 Americans has a hearing loss. Oh, really? We always thought it was more "selective hearing." Either way, the West Seattle chapter of the Hearing Loss Association says they are here to help.
Yippee! Wallingford's mid-week farmers market opens tomorrow for the season. You'll be able to get freshest of fresh produce every Wednesday till the end of September.
Are Seattle fans not good enough for you, Taylor Hicks? Fine, forget you. We've always thought you were a douchenozzle anyway. Plus, this year's SIFF celebrities, so much cooler than you.
Over in Federal Way they are beginning to install the new 24-hour surveillance cameras into downtown, as they implement project ~~Big Brother~~ "Safe City."

It is too bad that this web publication chose to slander and use horrid language about Taylor Hicks. I would imagine that the city of Seattle would not like to lose tourists in today's failing economy but you are losing this tourist. Cancelling my reservations at the PanSeattle Hotel and going to head to somewhere else and it won't be the state of Washington either!!!! Your city won't be getting my vacation dollars...that includes, cabs, restuarants, shopping etc.. Just don't like people like the likes of YOU!!!
