New Century Theatre News
For lack of a production photo, we've turned to our good Flickr friends, the Seattle Municipal Archive, who've provided this 1910 shot of the Seattle Theatre.
Last fall, New Century Theatre Company launched with a bang. They saw potential that few others did in Elmer Rice's mostly forgotten Expressionist social critique The Adding Machine, and with great performances and fantastically realized set and lighting designs, they pulled off one of the most well-received shows of the season. Currently, they're working on their next full production, Craig Wright's Orange Flower Water, which opens June 24 at ACT (tix $25).
They've also launched a staged reading series called "The Pipeline," which is at Solo Bar (200 Roy St.) in Lower Queen Anne tonight, where, at 7:30 p.m., they'll be reading Vaclav Havel's Largo Desolato. The event's free to the public.
