And Starring Greg Nickels as "Pot"

Yesterday, after Publicola was reporting that mayoral hopeful Joe Mallahan had donated $200,000 to his own campaign, Sandeep Kaushik, Nickels' spokesperson, sent out a response: "The voters of Seattle are going to see through what is an obvious attempt by a wealthy individual with little experience in public service to buy their way into elected office. In contrast to our opponent putting hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money into his campaign, we have raised our campaign funds from over 1,000 donors across the city of Seattle." Greg Nickels, defender of the little guy. Or course this is also the same Nickels whose $300,000+ campaign war chest was keeping people from even bothering to run against him. Even funnier? About 26 percent is from donors outside Seattle. Keep on keepin' it real, Mr. Mayor.

Need I remind you of what he's done for all of us? One word: slut.

Hey Sandeep, If Nickels is so obviously superior how come nothing in Seattle has improved on his watch? It's more crowded, more expensive, more polluted (Frontline) and we're supposed to be all grateful to Greg Craps His Pants in the Snow Storm Nickels?

It will be a sad commentary on the state of city politics if Nickels is still the best Democrat this city can produce to represent itself after all his gutless nothing.

  • Oh boo, the image didn't work.

Oh well, I guess I should also remind people that the reason his family isn't supporting in donations as much is due to the whole fraud thing.

I've looked back for years and see that he hasn't donated anything to anyone politically. Not even at a Federal level. I get why he may not want to, but still... Also, Mallahan donated $1500 to President Obama before it was cool.

  • He's just upset because he doesn't have $200,000 to donate to himself. Since when is it weird for a political candidate to fund their campaign in part? Never. It's why rich people are politicians.

Also, while trying to find a picture of Nickels doing something weird, I found this.

I have that same lamp. Nickels is bitter because his family isn't supporting him as much as Mullahan's is.
