- The bums have been cleared out, the trash is picked up, and now Denny Park and its friends are celebrating the opening of the park's new play area this Saturday,11 a.m.-2 p.m. They will have live kid-friendly music from Caspar Babypants and Recess Monkey.
- Wallyhood blog brings joy to comic book geeks, as Wallingford's Comic Dungeon will celebrate (May 2) in the nationwide Free Comic Book Day.
- The Columbia City Cinema, known as the "coolest" movie theater in Rainier, will now live to see another day, as the Rainier Valley Community Development Fund hands over a grant to help out the cash strapped cinema. Oooh, they have $2 popcorn too.
- Seafair is dropping ticket prices this year by a lot. $6 tickets* (only on May 13, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.) How badly do you want to see the hydroplanes?
