BIG HATS & BACON JAM: An annual event with historical significance that encourages both gambling, drinking and obnoxiously big hats. We're sold. As the ponies race out of the gate in the 135th Kentucky Derby, Seattle derby fans will be able to watch the races and find your coveted Maker's Mark Mint Julep, at The BottleNeck Lounge's second annual Run for the Roses Derby Party. This year they are bringing those bacon-loving-son-of-a-guns from Skillet, who will be cooking up some Southern soul. The best derby attire and hat could even win you an award or two.

SOULFUL SOUNDS: Hear the inspirational sounds a 500-voice mass gospel choir at GospelFest 09. The special concert will join together many of Seattle's local church and gospel choirs paying tribute to the heart and soul of gospel music throughout the African American culture. Choirs include: JudahSong, Total Experience Gospel, SureHouse, UW and Seattle Pacific University Gospel Choirs, Mount Zion Massed Choir, Antioch Bible Church and many more.

SEXY-TIME BRUNCH: "Sex, sanity, and sleep—you can have it all," so says, the Sex Educators from Babeland, Seattle's vibrating love shop. In this months Babeland Brunch Series, it's all about moms.The brunch will give tips and tricks for moms to rekindle desire, find time alone, but also understand and enjoy their "mom" body. Now, don't go there, we are saying mom as in you, your wife, girlfriend, neighbor, whomever. We swear not trying to let you think about your mom trying to find her frisky side.
