At Fremont we decided to veer off and follow the ship canal path toward the locks--the Phase 2 extension is in the works for this spring.
Almost three years ago, we walked around Lake Union for your entertainment. That seemed like it took all day, so this time we rode our bike. Much quicker!

I might need, like, a middle step in there, Charlie. I'm looking at this map and it's 50 miles. Is that even possible for a human being? On an 8-speed? I guess I'd be in if you're in.
I can't remember which blog it was, but they did a series from this woman who was walking around Lake Washington over the course of a few weeks (doing it in daylong segments). I don't believe she completed the trip.
more like 100 miles. But I can't think of any in-between lakes off the top of my head. Lake Sammamish maybe?
Then I would have to get to Sammammish, which is a name that makes me hungry because it's almost lunch and it sounds like sammich!
I don't know about riding around Lake Sammammish, but I do know about boating around it and that's much easier since you have space for your food, beer and other sundries (like a cooler). Plus you're not working as hard.
I took a ride out on the Sammammish River trail this weekend which ends at Marymoor and that was easy. Plus, in the middle, there's the Red Hook Brew pub....
As for riding Lk. Wash, I'd actually love to do that someday. I need a goal. name the day.
