Huskies are Defending Their 2005 Title Right Now

Stanford.jpg Following the Huskies win on Saturday, we declared that all we wanted next was an injury free Pac 10 Tournament.

We’re still okay with any of the game results at the Staples Center; however, as we watch this game, we realize that we would love any extra chances to see this Husky team play.

The Huskies are currently playing ninth seed Stanford, who were the higher ranked team when the Huskies squeaked past them in Hec Ed way back in on January 8. Washington then got their un-revenge in February by beating Stanford at Maples for the first time since the day André the Giant died.

The winner plays Arizona State (6pm Friday), with that winner going to the title game on Saturday (3pm Saturday).

However, no matter what happens, the Huskies will get a very nice seed on Sunday afternoon. Bracketology currently has them as a three.

Hot Dog and Friends wonders which Stanford team will show at 2:30, but still picks the Huskies. So does Bob Condotta, who has the usual goodies on his blog.

Today and tomorrow on FSN (HD 627), Sunday on channel 7, and all games on the radio KJR 950.
